NRA Basic Range Safety Officer Course

This course will develop NRA Certified Range Safety Officers (RSO) who possess the knowledge, skills and attitude essential to organizing, conducting and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.  Topics include defining the role of the Range Safety Officer, the purpose of range Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), procedures for inspecting a range prior to live fire, conducting a range safety briefing, emergency procedures and how to safely unload and clear malfunctions.  RSO’s are always needed at both indoor and outdoor ranges to ensure the safety of all shooters.  Students will complete a written examination and practical exercises.

You must be 21 years old to take this course.    

Course location: Right to Carey Guns, 108 Gateway Hills Ct., Granbury Texas 76049. 

Course schedule: This is a one-day course.
